Happy Sunday, everyone!

This week I’ve been clearing out space to get one of these amazing [self-sorting Lego cabinets](https://brickle.co/?ref=hiro.report) when they launch North American availability this month, loving every one of these Slavic and/or Central Eurasian [dance videos set to Future’s Mask Off](https://www.instagram.com/p/DcOMkIXCKPe/?utm%5Fsource=ig%5Fweb%5Fcopy%5Flink&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==&igsi=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==), jamming to this Vietnamese version of [“House of the Rising Sun”](https://www.instagram.com/slowznguyen/reel/DcN2HW6N7IA/?ref=hiro.report) from 1967 (thanks Adam!), getting on the waitlist for [The Secret History of Mac Gaming](https://www.bitmapbooks.com/collections/by-system/products/the-secret-history-of-mac-gaming-expanded-edition?ref=hiro.report) book, and counting down the days til we learn more about [BambuLab’s new laser cutter/engraver](https://bambulab.com/en-us/r1?ref=hiro.report) offering.

**On to the good stuff:**

🎥 [**Insta360 Luna Ultra**](https://amzn.to/45OU6sM?ref=hiro.report) \- I mentioned this camera in the Report a few weeks back when it launched… I finally picked one up to try out on a long weekend getaway this month. In my limited testing so far, it’s been great! Really excellent image quality, a fast and smooth gimbal, and surprisingly compact given that it’s rocking both a wide and telephoto lens setup on a gimbal. I particularly appreciate them including \~45GB of internal memory in case you forget your microSD card, and the fact that you can film in LOG but toggle on restorative colors in the display so you can see what it actually looks like while shooting. One main complaint so far— I hate when devices like this require you to activate them by registering before you can use them. You shouldn’t need my email to let me use this device. Since it’s unclear if the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P will ever be available stateside, this is the no-brainer choice in this category for those of us living in the U.S.

📷 [**Element for macOS**](https://elementphoto.app/?ref=hiro.report) \- This week I’ve been playing with Element, a macOS photography app built by an F1 photographer who was so tired of longing for Apple's long-dead Aperture that he built it himself. To be fair, it’s early days, and it isn’t up to full feature parity, but it does offer really fast culling, a clean design, responsive editing/processing controls, and a cool collaboration system that lets teams or collaborators share edits through Dropbox/Google Drive/iCloud/etc. Best of all, it’s a one-time payment after a free trial. I’m not ready to give up Lightroom for it yet, but I’m rooting for this project.

🗒 [**Finalist 4 for iOS, macOS, iPadOS, and Apple Watch**](https://www.finalist.works/4-0/?ref=hiro.report) \- Finalist is a really cool digital planner that uses Obsidian-compatible markdown notes to put your entire day on a single page: events, tasks, habits, weather, and journal all in one daybook or broadsheet layout. Finalist 4 just released earlier this month and brings a standalone Apple Watch app, a rebuilt time-blocking timeline tool, and on-device AI that turns screenshots into dated tasks.

🐔 [**Clucky — Loud Alarm Clock for iOS**](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/clucky-loud-alarm-clock/id6792550911?ref=hiro.report) \- I love weird little apps like Clucky. This alarm app features a rude rooster that crows and won’t be dismissed until you complete up to three wake-up missions. The missions can include things like math problems, doing a certain number of push-ups, taking a photo of a predetermined spot, and more. It even has a “Flock” feature where you can join forces with friends, see who’s up at what time, and send crow nudges to help get them up. My very sweet wife would murder me for trying out this app, but I honestly may need to get it for my kids now that we’re back in school.

🖊️ [**The Lil Sancho Bolt Action Pen BigIdeaDesign×Knafs**](https://bigidesign.com/products/the-lil-sancho-bolt-action-pen?ref=hiro.report)\- I’m a long time Big Idea Design fan and also really enjoy my little Knafs pocket knife, so I was really stoked to see that they were teaming up to make a bolt-action pen together. The Lil Sancho is sort of a Swiss Army Knife Pen that conceals a pair of stainless steel tweezers and a toothpick in the all-metal body. Speaking of the body, you can choose from titanium, brass, or copper, and it will hold any D1-style refill. I’m a sucker for a good EDC pen, and this is kind of next level.

That’s it for this week! May you easily find the perfect cable every time you need it.
